1. Produce Box:
Boxes are available in two sizes; a
Small Box for smaller families or a Large Box for a family of 6 or more.
Boxes can include: a. Seasonal fruits and vegetables
b. Dairy products including milk, butter, cheese, etc.
c. Local Honey, jams, jellies
d. Fresh Eggs
e. Local Meat
f. A farm newsletter with farm stories, tips and recipes Click here for a list of items included

2. Pricing and
Payment:
Boxes are customizable. Box prices vary depending on size and
weekly additions. A
$10.00 yearly enrollment fee is needed to cover the cost of boxes, processing
and other supplies for the season. All payments should be made
online unless other arrangements have been made. Cash or Check only at pick up. Make
checks payable to SMITH'S NURSERY INC...Customers picking up at Fairview,
Michael Blake or Norwood Garden Centers should make their checks
payable to those respective Garden Centers.
**Please Note:
All customers picking up at Fairview Garden Center, Norwood Road
Garden Center or Michael Blake Garden Center should pay for
their boxes at the cash register at time of
pick up. Click "Pay by Check" on the order form and use your
preferred payment method when picking up.**
3. Membership:
In order
to become a member of the Doorstep Market you must be willing to pick up your
box at your nearest pick up
location. Click
here to register for your nearest location (no obligation
until you place your first order). Smith's Nursery is always willing to add new locations. In order to register your
neighborhood or business as a pick up location we require the following: a.
Coordinator - One to two people who will make a commitment to
communicate with members and be at the designated location each
week during the pick up hours (if needed). Coordinators should
provide a cool, clean place for the produce boxes to be kept during
the pick up hours. Coordinators must be willing to
openly communicate between their location members and Smith's
Nursery each week. Coordinators may also be eligible for a
discounted Doorstep Market box. b. Location - This can be a home or
garage, neighborhood clubhouse, cul-de-sac, place of business,
church or any other location
approved by a Homeowner's Association, business or Smith's Nursery. c.
Members - Before a neighborhood or business can be
registered as a pick up location, a commitment and deposit
must be received by at least 10 new members. Once you have met these requirements you may contact the Doorstep
Market Coordinator at doorstepmarket@upickberries.com or (919) 934-1700 to register your location.
4.
Delivery:
Boxes
will be delivered to your designated
location each week for pickup. Boxes may be picked up at your
location during the allotted times. Members
should return all empty boxes and containers from the previous week. Click

neighborhood schedule.
5. Policies:
Empty boxes, bottles and containers should be returned each week. Members will receive weekly emails that include farm updates, a link
to the order form and reminders of the weekly pickup
time and locations. If you decide to skip a week, no problem,
when you are ready to place another order simply click on the form
and place a new order. New order forms are created and sent
each Monday and are active until 8:00 AM the following Monday.
You must allow at least 3 days for processing and harvesting.
Late orders may not be processed. If you have ordered a box but are unable to pick up your produce during
the designated time, please have a neighbor or friend pick up the
order for you. Customers are responsible for payment of all
confirmed orders if not picked up.
