April 2007
Spring is finally here and The Smith's Nursery Retail Garden Center is now open!
Time to shake off those winter blues and get planting! Early April is a
great time to plant trees, shrubs, and hardy perennials. When planting
bedding plants and tender perennials, it is best to plant after April 15th when
all signs of frost have passed. If you have trees or shrubs that need
transplanting, early April is the time to do it. Waiting until the end of
the month may prove to be too warm and too late. Study your garden's
watering needs, begin to monitor rainfall and hand water when needed....and
remember, "April showers bring May flowers!"
